You should love the look of your new countertops and feel good about the work behind them. At Granite Plus, low-silica materials give you more ways to do both.

Start with Eclos and Dekton colors in our NOVAMESA collection, available through our SQFT program. We can help you compare the pattern, finish, edge and layout, then choose the right fit for your kitchen. Start with our AI visualizer: upload a photo of your kitchen or bath and try NOVAMESA colors on your own countertops.

Start with Eclos

Eclos's Eclectic Veins collection by Cosentino is made without adding crystalline silica. It brings layered patterns and mineral character to a kitchen, with recycled materials, including glass, in the mix.

If you love movement in a countertop, Eclos belongs on your shortlist. We bring small samples into your home so you can see the color beside your cabinets and under your lighting. Countertop-width samples in our showroom give you a larger view of the design.

We help you bring the details together: the color beside your cabinets, the edge you will touch every day and the way the countertop fits the room.

Add Dekton to the conversation

Dekton gives you another way to find the look you want. It is a different material from Eclos, with its own colors, finishes and mix of minerals.

Tell us what matters most: a quiet pattern, bold movement, a particular finish or lower silica content. Preview NOVAMESA colors with our AI visualizer, then let us guide you through the samples and our custom slab choices.

Another reason to love marble

Marble has always earned its place through its natural movement and character. Its low crystalline silica content gives you another reason to put it on your shortlist: marble typically contains less than 5% crystalline silica.

Care behind the countertop

Finished countertops are safe for normal everyday use. Our safety programs protect the workers who cut and finish them. At Granite Plus, we cut and finish with water, clean our shop regularly and use accurate templates to keep cutting in the shop rather than your home. Lower-silica choices belong with that careful process. Read how Granite Plus protects the people behind your countertops for more about our safety program.

A simple silica comparison

The chart highlights selected product lines, not every formula a manufacturer sells. It puts Eclos and other lower-silica choices beside traditional high-silica quartz.

Credit goes to Cosentino for the Q-label concept used with Silestone. We think it is a useful idea, so we are adapting that simplification across the selected materials below. Think of our Q-equivalents as broad buckets: Q0 for zero or trace content, Q10 for very low content, Q40 for the next lower-silica group and Q90 for high-silica materials. Our cross-brand comparison is not a formal or regulated rating system, or an official Cosentino classification of other brands. It makes silica content easier to understand without turning your countertop choice into a science lesson. The percentage column gives the detail behind each bucket.

Selected material / product line Crystalline silica Q-equivalent
Eclos Eclectic Veins Less than 1% Q0
Soapstone (low-quartz variety) Less than 1% quartz Q0
Neolith (2022 published range) 0% to less than 9% Q10
Marble Less than 5% typical Q10
Dekton 4-13% Q10
Silestone XM / Q10 colors Maximum 10% Q10
Porcelanosa XTONE Less than 11% Q10
Silestone Q40 colors Maximum 40% Q40
Granite 10-50% typical Q40
Cambria quartz surfaces More than 87% Q90
MSI Q Natural Quartz (traditional formula) More than 90% quartz Q90
Quartzite 95% or more typical Q90

We chose brands and colors you are likely to recognize if you are in the middle of a countertop search. We hope this guide makes those choices easier to compare. Have a question about a specific brand or color? Let us know, and we can get you manufacturer-specific details about its crystalline silica content.
